FLOSSMOOR, IL — You Matter 2 is inviting the community to step inside its work like never before at Walk Through Our Mission, an immersive fundraising experience taking place on Friday, May 22 at Flossmoor Community Church.
This is not a traditional gala, the organization said in a release.
Instead, guests will walk through interactive, youth-led stations that bring You Matter 2’s programs to life—offering a firsthand look at how young people are supported through leadership development, enrichment, mental wellness, and college and career readiness.
"This event is designed for people to truly experience the impact—not just hear about it," said Destiny Watson, Founder & CEO of You Matter 2. "We want every guest to leave understanding what’s possible when young people are given the right support and opportunities."
The evening will conclude with a Spotlight Program featuring student and alumni stories, scholarship presentations, and a live auction. Guests will also be invited to participate in a collective giving moment to support You Matter 2’s programs and expand opportunities for youth.
Attendees will also be among the first to experience what’s next for You Matter 2, including a major upcoming investment in expanding STEM education and hands-on learning opportunities for youth in the South Suburban community.
With limited capacity and growing interest, early ticket purchase is strongly encouraged.
