Village Of Hazel Crest Planning To Honor Fallen Soldier
“I join the residents of the Village of Hazel Crest in mourning the death of one of our residents, United States Army Specialist Henry Mayfield Jr., who was killed in the line of duty while serving overseas on a Kenya based U.S. military installation. We honor Henry for his service and sacrifice and offer our deepest condolences to his family members as they grieve this profound loss from their family, from our community and from our country. Henry needs to know that his commitment to our safety and security will never be forgotten.
The Village of Hazel Crest’s Veterans Commission will work with the family of Specialist Mayfield to organize an event for the South Suburban community to recognize the ultimate sacrifice he made for country. We will share details as they become available.”
