a balanced beginning | welcoming autumn

Liz's Mindful Mondays: Weekly Reflections + Inspiration from the Heart of Serendipity Yoga and Wellness

Dear Reader,

This week, we mark the autumnal equinox, a moment when light and darkness meet in nearly equal measure. It is a natural invitation to pause and consider where we may be longing for greater balance between effort and rest, giving and receiving, body and mind.

Balance does not require every part of life to be perfectly equal. Instead, it asks us to notice what we need in this moment. There are seasons for growth and seasons for rest, times to turn toward the light and times to draw inward. Each has a purpose, and each carries its own wisdom.

The equinox reminds us that light and darkness are both essential parts of life’s natural rhythm. As the days grow shorter, may we honor the wisdom found in both light and darkness and move gently into the quieter season ahead.

With warmth,
Liz

Inspire | “True healing will not be found in green juice, crystals, or the latest self-improvement hack. It cannot be bought, tracked, or outsourced. It lives in the places you have avoided and the unspoken truths weighing you down. Healing happens through the raw, messy release of pain: shedding tears, facing what you have buried, forgiving others, and, most importantly, forgiving yourself.” Tara Isis Gerris

Listen | I created a new playlist to help us welcome the season with a few of my favorite songs. I hope you enjoy it, too.

Try This | When a challenging moment arises, practice staying present without force or panic. Simply breathe, notice what is happening, and allow yourself to meet the moment as it is. Practice this on your yoga mat and out in the world.

Where in your life are you being invited to welcome greater balance?
