Body Found On Beach In Northwest Indiana
The Lake County Coroner's Office is looking to identify a man found off the shore of Whihala Beach in Whiting, Indiana Thursday morning.

WHITING, IL -- A Northwest Indiana coroner's office is seeking to identify a man found dead in about five feet off water off the shore at Whihala Beach in Whiting, which is just on the other side of the Illinois-Indiana state border.
The body, one of an Asian man, was found among large rocks on the shoreline around 9:30 a.m. Thursday by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, according to a report from the Times of Northwest Indiana. IDNR officials estimate that the man died around midnight that morning.
The man is described as Asian, 5'6", weighing 176 pounds with black hair, according to the Lake County Coroner's office. He was wearing an extra-large blue Hollister t-shirt, Aeropostle Blue Jeans size 33-by-32, a Kenneth Cole brown belt, red/blue plaid boxers, Nike white ankle socks and size 10 Nike black gym shoes when he was found.

Coroner Merrilee Frey confirmed Friday afternoon that the body has yet to have been identified. Police in Whiting and nearby Hammond, Indiana are working to see if the description fits any missing person cases in the area, according to the Times.
