Bookie's Opening In Homewood Saturday
The long-awaited book store will open for one day before finalizing everything for a permanent spot in downtown Homewood.

HOMEWOOD, IL — A book store will be open in Homewood for the first time in decades as Bookie's will debut its second location on Saturday. The opening will be for one day, followed by a few weeks of closure until the store is ready to serve the community full-time.
Owner Keith Lewis updated the hundreds of fans of the store that has yet to open on Facebook Friday.
The store will be open at 2015 Ridge Road in downtown Homewood from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8. A planned event featuring author Jamie Swenson will go on as planned at 2 p.m.
