Sunday, October 18, 2026 | Irwin Park, Homewood
Registration: 8 a.m. | Walk: 9 a.m.
This October, the Cancer Support Center is inviting the community to come together for the Pink-a-Boo Walk of Hope.
A morning to celebrate survivors, honor loved ones and help ensure no one in our community faces cancer alone.
Pink-a-Boo features a 5K, 1-Mile Walk and 10-Step Survivor Walk, giving everyone an opportunity to take part. But every step represents something much bigger.
Every dollar raised helps provide Cancer Support Center programs and services at no cost to anyone impacted by cancer, at any stage of their journey.
That support can look different for every person. It may mean sitting down one-on-one with a counselor after hearing the words, “You have cancer.” It may mean helping a child cope with a parent’s diagnosis through CSC at School, meeting them right where they are. It can mean finding strength in a fitness class, learning how to nourish your body through nutrition programs, connecting with others who understand in a networking group or receiving a wig during treatment. - Also at no cost.
It’s all possible because of the generosity of our community.
And at the Cancer Support Center, a little bit goes a long way.
A $50 donation can cover the cost of a wig for someone experiencing hair loss during treatment. Approximately $1,000 can provide one participant with Cancer Support Center programs and services for an entire year—all at no cost to them.
Participants can make an even greater impact by creating a fundraising page, building a team and inviting family, friends and coworkers to support their walk.
Registration
Adult registration is $35 and includes a Pink-a-Boo T-shirt, or participants can register for $75 to receive both a T-shirt and crewneck sweatshirt. Youth ages 5–17 can register for $15, and children 5 and younger are free.
Participants who register by September 20 are guaranteed their shirt size.
Fundraising incentives are also available:
- $150 raised: Fuzzy Socks
- $250 raised: CSC Candle
- $450 raised: CSC Fleece Blanket
- $750+ raised: Pink Plush Robe
Businesses Can Walk With Us, Too
Local businesses and organizations can support Pink-a-Boo through sponsorship opportunities beginning at just $150. Sponsorship is an opportunity to stand alongside the Cancer Support Center, connect with the community and help make sure support is there when someone hears the words, “You have cancer.”
October may put a spotlight on breast cancer, but the Cancer Support Center is here every month of the year for anyone impacted by any type of cancer. From diagnosis and treatment to survivorship, caregiving, bereavement and beyond, no one should have to navigate that journey alone.
