CASA Seeking Volunteers

CASA is seeking volunteers to stand up for abused and neglected children in our community.

CASA of Will County recruits and trains everyday people to be the voice for abused and neglected children throughout the court system. CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates) matches volunteers with children, and our volunteers are empowered by the juvenile court to access pertinent records, talk with all involved parties, and visit with the children in their homes. We then report back to the juvenile court judge, making recommendations in the best interests of the children.

To learn more about CASA, please consider attending an information session. Information sessions are about one hour in length and are open to the public. Upcoming sessions are scheduled for:

To become a volunteer, please submit a http://casaofwillcounty.org/volunteer. You will then complete an interview, background check, and 30-hour training session. If you have questions about this process, please contact Sheri Lerner, Volunteer Outreach Coordinator, at slerner@casaofwillcounty.org.

Nearly 40% of abused and neglected children in our community are waiting on volunteers to stand up for them and be their voice in the court system. Please help us to spread our message as we seek to recruit enough volunteers for all children.
