Chipotle to Hire Thousands in One Day

Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. will expand its team by thousands in a one-day hiring fair at restaurants across the country.

The chain’s National Career Day is set for 8 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at every Chipotle location. The company promoted 10,000 into management roles this year, and the hiring push will help bring in its “next wave of future leaders,” according to its website.

Management at each location will hold open interviews for up to 60 applicants, with plans to hire 4,000 new employees. The fair is the company’s latest promotional push, following last month’s announcement that Chipotle will offer a new benefits package that includes paid sick days, paid vacation days and tuition reimbursement for part-time employees.
