Christmas Tree & Holiday Light Recycling Program

Recycling

Holiday Tradition Continues

For the eighth straight year, south land residents can recycle their holiday trees at Irons Oaks Vollmer Road parking lot anytime through Thursday, January 18. Trees must be completely free of ornaments, tinsel, tags and plastic. Garland and wreaths are not accepted (due to wire).
Saturday, January 6, 2018 has been set as the community drop off date. Between the hours of 9:00 AM - NOON, volunteers will assist in removing trees from vehicles and add them to a growing pile of holiday foliage. Refreshments and a warm fire will be available for those wanting to celebrate the New Year!

Holiday lights are also being collected for recycling. Lights can be dropped off anytime through Thursday, January 18 at Flossmoor Village Hall, HF Ice Arena, HF Racquet & Fitness Club, Irons Oaks, Irwin Community Center and Wiley’s Grill.
