Fast Facts: The South Suburban Blue race will come down to this game. Bolingbrook, known primarily for football, is making strides to become a basketball school as well under coach Rob Brost. The Raiders only regional title in the past two decades came in 2009, but this team appears to be ready to break through with Nixon leading the way. The Colorado State recruit paces the team with 17 points per game, adding four rebounds, three assists and two steals per contest. Thomas, one of the top unsigned Class of 2015 players in the area, averages 12 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals per game, giving Bolingbrook a dominant back court. Akenten, a star wide receiver in the fall, controls the glass with 10 points and seven rebounds per game. Homewood-Flossmoor is having another solid season under new coach Marc Condotti, who replaced Jim McLaughlin last spring. He is the son of former Vikings coach Roy Condotti, who led H-F to a second-place state finish with Julian Wright in 2003. Barnes leads a balanced offensive attack by averaging 14 points and five rebounds per game. Nobody else on the roster averages double digits in points, but Bradley, Jenkins-Brady and Pryor all average between nine and seven points per game. The Vikings have won 10 regionals in the last 11 years.
