Fast Facts: A trip to the Class 4A state tournament is on the line in the Class 4A Mother McAuley Super-Sectional. It would be the second trip to state for H-F, the first coming in 1997. Trinity, seeking its third state bid and first since 2006, is having another solid season despite featuring four freshmen in 10 roster spots. Aylward, who averages 15 points and eight rebounds per game, was the CSN Athlete of the Week in late January. Stritzel, daughter of head coach Ed, provides senior leadership. McKenna, who posts 14 points, three assists and two rebounds per game, joins Aylward as juniors on college coaches’ radars. Fallon averages nine points and seven rebounds per game. Trinity edged perennial powerhouse Whitney Young, 37-36, to win the sectional title. Led by coach Tony Smith, who guided Bolingbrook to four state titles and seven trophies in a seven-year span, the Vikings have put together a solid season. Suggs, who is committed to Duke, leads a balanced attack with 15.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Stallworth (11.2 PPG, 4.2 APG) and Johnson are both solid scorers who are the team’s best three-point shooters. Green, part of the team’s solid core of young players, averages 10.2 points per game. H-F upset highly-touted Marian Catholic 62-51 to win its sectional.
