Cornerstone CDC Health & Wellness Fair Saturday, August 27
8th annual Health & Wellness Fair to be presented by Cornerstone Community Development Corp., Franciscan Health, School District 169, ComEd

Cornerstone Community Development Corporation, Franciscan Health, School District 169 and ComEd are partnering to present a free Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, August 27, from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m., at the agency on Lincoln Highway in Ford Heights.
The event has been postponed for the last two years due to COVID-19 concerns.
The eighth Health and Wellness Fair will offer free screenings and immunizations; awareness and education information; and other on-site services. It will also feature music, light refreshments, youth activities, including a game truck, exercise and dancing, giveaways, and raffles.

“We are excited to once again be able to provide meaningful services and a day of activities and entertainment to individuals and families of the Southland, said Cornerstone CDC executive director Angelia Smith.
Free screenings will include blood pressure, bone density, blood oxygen, body mass index, glucose, lung capacity as well as flu and school immunizations.

Awareness and education topics will include women’s health, men’s health, breast health, kidney disease prevention, lupus, and LSI education, as well as childbirth education and senior programs.
On-site services will include children’s dental exams, Cook County Care applications, ComEd payment options, Franciscan Health urgent care clinicians and other local outreach programs.
Health and Wellness Fair providers and participants include the BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois, the Village of Ford Heights, Bloom Township Center, Nicor Gas, Cook County Southland Juvenile Justice Center, UMARC, Southland Recovery Coalition, Cook County Health, and Walgreen’s.
The Health and Wellness Fair is free of charge and open to the public. Cornerstone CDC is located at 943 E. Lincoln Highway in Ford Heights.
