D228 Students Participate in 'Stewards of Children' Training

Students also made blankets to donate to South Suburbia Crisis Center

Students from the Parenting, Child Care I and Child Care II classes at all four District 228 schools recently took part in Advocate Health Care’s, “Stewards of Children Training - Darkness to Light.” This was an educational training for child care workers to teach them the signs of child sexual abuse. The students also worked in pairs to make 16 child size fleece blankets. The blankets will be donated to the South Surburbia Crisis Center in Tinley Park for the children of domestic violence families.
