Disorderly Conduct

Gerald Jackson, 24, of the 700 block of Palm Drive, Glenwood, was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana after a March 18 incident, according to Homewood police reports.

Police responded to a disturbance call at about 9:45 p.m., in the 800 block of Bowling Green Drive, the report stated. The victim said he was approached in the street by Jackson, who he had been having an “ongoing problem,” the report added. Jackson then ran up and punched the side window and front windshield of his 2003 Chevrolet Impala, according to the report.

Police eventually caught up with Jackson, who tried to flee on foot, the report stated. During the brief chase, Jackson allegedly discarded pot that was in his possession, the report added.

MARCH 17

Retail Theft

Cynthia Brown Pringle, 61, of the 500 block of 14th Street, Chicago Heights, was arrested and charged with retail theft after being accused March 17 with stealing champagne from Walgreens, 820 183rd St., according to Homewood police reports.

An employee confronted Pringle at about 10:34 p.m. after observing her put three bottles of Cook’s California Champagne into her coat, the report stated. The champagne was valued at $23.97, the report added.
