Retail Theft
Angela Johnson, 40, of the 16200 block of Wolcott Avenue, Markham, was arrested and charged with retail theft after being accused of shoplifting more than $150 worth of merchandise Jan. 11 from Walgreens, according to Homewood police reports.

Police responded to a report at about 2:58 p.m. that said Johnson had placed items from Walgreens, 820 W. 183rd St., into a pink bag and then left the store, the report stated. She had last been seen going toward Culver’s, 850 W. 183rd St., the report added.
Johnson was taken into custody, and police found an AT&T GoPhone, 31 cans of Red Bull, a pack of Hanes cotton panties, a bottle of vanilla body spray, and other items totalling $154.66, the report stated.

THURSDAY, JAN. 7
Theft
Demetrius Thomas, 26, of the 15100 of Myrtle Street, Harvey, was arrested and charged with theft after being accused of trying to shoplift more than $100 of merchandise Jan. 7 from Target, 17605 S. Halsted St., according to Homewood police reports.
WEDNESDAY, JAN. 6
Theft
Sarai Martinez, 21, of the 600 block of Freeland Street, Calumet City, was arrested and charged with theft after being accused of using more than $600 worth of promotional gift cards that were given to Best Buy customers for buying cell phones, according to Homewood police reports.
Martinez, a Best Buy employee, kept the promotional gift cards after customers returned the cell phones to the store, 17800 S. Halsted St., the report stated.
DUI
Ayesha Crawford, 35, of Gary, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving with a revoked driver’s license, driving without insurance, driving with expired registration and improper lane use after a Jan. 6 accident at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Vincennes Road, according to Homewood police reports.
