DUI, Speeding, Driving on Expired License
Ryan Keagle, 26, of the 32200 block of South Cedar Road, Manhattan, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, speeding, driving with an expired license and driving without insurance after a March 7 traffic stop, according to Homewood police reports.

Police clocked Keagle at about 11:58 p.m., going 43 mph in a 25-mph zone while he was traveling northbound in the 18400 block of Harwood Avenue, the report stated. The officer eventually pulled Keagle over in the 18200 block of Harwood, the report adding.

FRIDAY, MARCH 6
Felony Retail Theft
Karen Hall, 20, of the 100 block of Kathleen Lane, Chicago Heights, was arrested and charged with felony retail theft after being accused of stealing more than $300 worth of clothing March 6 from Kohl’s, 17620 Halsted St., according to Homewood police reports.
Loss protection agents noticed Hall at about 6:38 p.m. when they observed her taking clothing off their hangars and staying in a fitting for about 45 minutes, the report stated. When Hall came out of the fitting room, the agents told police she was wearing some of the store items she had brought in with her. Eventually, Hall tried to leave the stop without paying, and one of the agents stopped her, according to the report.
While she was detained, the store recovered four dresses, five shirts and three pairs of pants totalling $350.97, the report stated.
THURSDAY, MARCH 5
Retail Theft
James Taylor, 53, of West Ellis, Wis.,was arrested and charged with retail theft after being accused of stealing two 1-inch ball valves March 5 from Home Depot, 17845 Halsted St., according to Homewood police reports.
A store loss protection agent told police he saw Taylor put the ball valves (totalling $37.14) in his jacket pocket and try to leave the store without paying for them, the report stated.
