Join this class as we teach you the basics of fishing. We will cover rods, reels, tackle, how to tie on hooks and bait, how to take fish off the hook and learn Illinois' fishing regulations.
After completing this class, you will be ready to confidently participate in the William McDowell Memorial Fishing Derby on April 30.
Rods and tackle will be provided by the IDNR Urban Fishing Program. Class is designed for ages 10 and up; younger children can attend with a parent.
Fee is $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents.
