SOUTH SUBURBAN HUMANE SOCIETY BARK WALK

Please join us for our annual fall Bark Walk Fest celebration and fundraiser this Saturday, September 22, from 9am to 2pm, and help support the *temporarily* homeless animals of South Suburban Humane Society, in Chicago Heights!

Our wonderful event features, among other exciting activities, demonstrations from a local search and rescue dog and his handler; a terrific trainer from our own local Petco/Homewood; and a demonstration from an experienced dog training group!

The Fest is free; and we'd love to have you join us in our Bark Walk:  registration is $25, and entitles you to "walk the walk" with your 4-legged family member; to an event tshirt; to a goodie bag; and to our undying gratitude!

We’re excited to have at the event:

  • live music from the bandshell, generously donated by Dirtymac band (“ ‘50s through today”)… good times!!

  • a professional photographer, AND a professional caricature artist, lending their skills to show off your dog(s)... and you!

  • 20+ vendor tables from our MANY caring and shelter-supporting (thank you!) local companies, both pet-related, and “everyday”;

  • terrific raffle baskets, with generous support from, again, our local south suburban businesses; and, 50/50 raffle tickets;

  • several local animal rescues (with some of their gorgeous dogs available for adoption!);

  • delicious food for purchase;

  • games for kids, and for not-so-little-kids (and their 4-legged buddies!)

and of course, the stars of our show, our SPECTACULAR pets, looking for their forever home!
