exactly as I am

Liz's Mindful Mondays: Weekly Reflections + Inspiration from the Heart of Serendipity Yoga and Wellness

Dear Reader,

One of the challenges I face daily is accepting myself exactly as I am. I sometimes wish I carried a few less pounds, had fewer wrinkles around my eyes, or could be a bit more spontaneous and easy-going. It's easy to focus on what we would change if given the chance.

But the truth is, I am who I am. My experiences, strengths, imperfections, and quirks have shaped me into the person I am today. Rather than spending energy wishing I were someone else or trying to fit an impossible standard, this week I'm choosing to embrace myself just as I am—no changes needed.

I invite you to try it, too. Notice the ways you criticize yourself and gently replace those thoughts with acceptance. You are already worthy. You are enough.

With love,

Inspire | "When you love yourself, you glow from the inside. You attract people who love, respect, and appreciate your energy. Everything starts with how you feel about yourself. Start feeling worthy, valuable, and deserving of receiving the best that life has to offer." — Unknown

Listen | More than twenty years after its release, Beautiful by Christina Aguilera still carries a powerful message: you are beautiful, exactly as you are.

Try This | Treat yourself to a calming ritual this week. Draw a warm bath, add a cup of Epsom salts and a few drops of lavender essential oil, then allow yourself 15–20 minutes to simply rest. Let the warmth soften tension in your body and use the time to reflect on one thing you appreciate about yourself, just as you are.
