'First-Ever' South Suburban Pride Party Planned In Flossmoor

The event is planned for the Flossmoor Community House on Wednesday, June 21.

FLOSSMOOR, IL -- A Facebook group that claims to be planning the "First-Ever South Suburban Pride Party" is planning the event for Wednesday, June 21 at the Flossmoor Community House. The event is hosted by the Lighthouse LGBTQ+ community on Facebook.

According to its event listing, the party will run from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the community house at 847 Hutchinson Road.

As of 4:35 p.m. on Friday, 69 people plan on attending and another 175 are interested.

"The dream is to turn this into a much bigger event next year," the event description reads. "We will have a poster making station, student art, hot dog bar, and cold drinks! ALL Allies and LGBTQ+ welcome."

This is an all-ages event, according to organizers.
