Flossmoor 5k and Overall Circuit Winners Announced
Final race and close of the H-F 2014 Summer 5K Circuit.

The H-F Racquet & Fitness Club (the Club), located at 2920 W. 183rd St., in Homewood held its final race of its annual H-F Summer 5K Circuit on Saturday, Sept. 6. A traditional start to the annual Flossmoor Fest, the 5K took off from Leavitt Park in Flossmoor, IL. The race winds through the quaint historic section of the Chicago Southland community of Flossmoor providing a flat and fast course.
The race provided extra excitement between the men’s division second and third place finishers with only 6 seconds between them.

In addition, the three-race Circuit was close between the third and fourth place finishers, again in the men’s division, with only 6 seconds in the overall standings. The women’s division saw a repeat of the standings from the 2013 Summer Circuit.

About the Summer Circuit
The Circuit is comprised of three timed races – Apollo 5K in May, Run for Freedom in July and the Flossmoor 5K in September. The Circuit routes are flat and fast courses winding through the Chicago Southland communities of Homewood and Flossmoor. Conroy Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy, the Circuit’s main sponsor, provides onsite warm-up and cool down therapeutic services to race participants.
