Flossmoor Fire Chief Chris Sewell Retires
Chris Sewell has retired as chief of the Flossmoor Fire Department, a position he held since 2009.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — Chris Sewell, Flossmoor's fire chief since 2009, has retired.
Sewell's career as a firefighter began in Flossmoor in 1994 as a training administrator, serving for eight years before going on to be the fire chief in nearby Sauk Village. He came back to Flossmoor to be the fire chief here in 2009.
“Flossmoor always felt like home," Sewell said. "It is a town that has always planned very well and provided so much support for our service departments. It’s a great place to work.”

Mayor Paul Braun acknowledged Sewell's career during a recent Flossmoor Village Board meeting.
“We are so grateful for the dedication Chief Sewell has given to serving the Flossmoor
community,” Braun said. “This community is lucky to have had so many years of his incredible service. We are sad to see him go, but wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
