Flossmoor Station's Brew Finishes Strong at Great American Beer Fest
There were fewer than 300 medals for the taking at the fest—and our beloved local Flossmoor Station happened to snag one of them.

We knew Chicago had some great breweries—but just in case we needed a little more proof, how about a strong showing at the Great American Beer Fest?
Chicago area breweries grabbed eight of the available 268 medals awarded at last weekend’s Great American Beer Fest in Denver. Namely, Chicago can now claim its fame with some of the country’s best stouts and two of its best IPAs.
Half Acre’s Heyoka and Temperance Beer Company’s Gatecrasher both earned medals for American- and English-style IPA, respectively, and Haymarket’s Defender took gold in the American-style stout category, according to Timeout Chicago. Flossmoor Station’s Shadow of the Moon Imperial Stout took top prize in the “Other Strong Beer” category.
