Glenwood's Annual 4th of July "We the People" Fest

The Village of Glenwood will be hosting their annual July 4th “We the People” Fest on Monday, July 4, 2016 beginning with the annual parade. Line-up time is 1:00 p.m. in the Glenwood Oaks parking lot. Step off time is 1:30 p.m. sharp and will travel the following route; east on Main Street from Glenwood Oaks turning South on Nugent Street, ending at the Village Hall complex where the afternoon activities will begin immediately following the parade. An assortment of delicious food, pop, and spirits will be available from the various Village Organizations and businesses. There will be a water slide, fire truck foam, game booths and artisan vendors as well as music from DJ Galaxie. Official ceremonies will be held at 2:15 p.m. where Mayor Gardiner will greet and introduce Village officials, Amvets Post #268 will The day will conclude with the Village’s family friendly fireworks display held at Glenwoodie Golf Club, 19301 S.
