Graffiti Found At Locations In Homewood, Thornton
The spray-painted letters "YERK" and "ETR" were among what was found at businesses, utility boxes and a home on Christmas night.
HOMEWOOD, IL - Police in Homewood and Thornton are looking for two pictured suspects who they say tagged several locations in the communities with graffiti. Homewood police said that while the graffiti marks are not considered to be gang-related, the letters YERK and ETR were visible at some locations.
The incidents occurred sometime after 10 p.m., according to police. Locations tagged include a home in the 18300 block of Morris, utility boxes in the 18100 block of Martin and businesses along Ridge Road and 183rd Street in Homewood.
The same type of graffiti was tagged in an area across the street from the Village Hall in nearby Thornton.
