Gun, Pot Found On Trio In 'Suspicious Auto,' Cops Say
Police say a gun was recovered from a "suspicious auto" stop in Homewood.

HOMEWOOD, IL – A gun was found on one of three young adults from Chicago who were charged earlier this month when police in Homewood approached what they called a "suspicious auto" in the 2100 block of Oak Road.
Charmar Brown-Hawkins, 19 was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon at 9:18 p.m. on Nov. 6. Police say Hawkins was found to be in possession of a handgun without the required Firearm Owners Identification Card or Conceal Carry License.
Two others, both from the city of Chicago's Ashburn neighborhood, were charged with cannabis-related offenses.

Jailyn Turner, 22 was found to be in possession of approximately 44 grams of suspect cannabis and Evan Webster, 21 was found to be in possession of approximately 27 grams of suspect cannabis, police said.
