Gunfire Hits House In Homewood: Police

The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. Monday, police said.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police are investigating after gunfire hit a house early Monday.

On April 21 at approximately 5:30 a.m., police were called for a report of shots fired in the 1100 block of Olive Road. Police searched the area, and found several shell casings.

The suspect(s) fled before police arrived.

The house struck by gunfire was not believed to be the intended target, police said. Homewood police are investigating.

No injuries were reported.
