FLOSSMOOR, IL — Homewood-Flossmoor High School is asking for help in tracking down its Macaw, missing since Oct. 2.

The bird affectionately known as "Blue" is blue and gold, approximately 18 inches in size, and has a crooked beak. His wings are clipped, yet he was "able to get some lift and fly off," the school said on social media.

"Blue" is part of the school's ZooBot program, an extracurricular that combines botany and zoology.
