About Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings Youth Hockey Association
We are a hockey association serving the youth of the South Suburbs of Chicago since 1985. Our teams play in the Northwest Hockey League and our players range from 7 years old up to 14 years old. We also have a program for kids under the age of 7 called the Dyno-Mites that teaches the kids the basic skills of the game of hockey and get them prepared for league play at the age of 7. For those new to hockey, we also offer learn to skate / hockey skills classes for children ages 4 and up. In addition to playing hockey, many of our players / families are active in giving back to local communities. During the 2018-2019 season, members of our hockey family made baby blankets for local hospitals, assembled 130 boxes of food for Feed Our Starving Children that provided 18,080 meals and fed 77 children for a year, participated in the Chicago Police Memorial Hockey Jamboree that raised more that $8,000 for the families of injured and fallen officers, delivered a Get Well Card for Park Forest Officer Tim Jones on behalf of the Jamboree and volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House at Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn.
For more information about our programs please contact HF Hockey Director Chris Cimoch at 708.957.0100 ext. 1133 or HF Hockey Board President Steve Macri at 815.582.1278
