Hillcrest HS Artist Honors Officer's Son
Portrait was a compassionate gesture from art student
Officer Derek Bryant is a loved member of the Hillcrest High School family. Earlier this year he lost his son, Derek Bryant Jr., to an automobile accident. Freshman art student, Aubri Pennington, who is advanced and skilled in rendering realistic portraits, began to draw a commemorative portrait for Officer Bryant and his family. This gesture may help to heal some of the wounds of this tragedy. Hillcrest is proud of Aubri’s compassion and dedication to a healing cause.
