Hillcrest HS Career Day 2016

Exploring the Paths to Success

Hillcrest High School was excited to hold Career Day 2016 "Exploring the Paths to Success. The Career fair is an annual event to expose students to a variety of career fields in effort to educate, encourage and motivate students as they plan for their future educational and career paths.

During the career fair event, students were able to speak with professionals from over 30 diverse organizations and military representatives receiving firsthand information from employers about their professions and job opportunities. “I am interested in graphic design and art education. The representative from W2 Graphics provided me with thoughts for a career choice,” said Hillcrest senior Stephen Brisco.

Hillcrest's goal is for each student to be college and career ready. A special thank you to the Hillcrest staff for making this event possible. “I spoke with several representative from a variety of careers to gain some idea about the job training requirements and type of work,” said Danielle Jensen.

This event was successful due to the coordinated efforts of many staff and departments: the Hillcrest National Honor Society members, student services department, physical education staff, school administrators, the maintenance crew, and the Career and Technology Education Coordinator for District 228. All helped synchronized this epic day.
