Hillcrest HS Is Committed to Helping Local Organization

Danielle Jensen organized a teen gift drive for the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation

Hillcrest High School senior Danielle Jensen is committed to helping a local organization, The Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation, by organizing a Teen Gift Drive to collect gifts for children and teens fighting cancer.

The Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation has pursued its mission of providing comfort and distraction from painful procedures to children and teens fighting cancer. When a child must endure the rigors of cancer treatment, there is little anyone can do to take away the pain. However, thanks to the efforts of the foundation, there are treasure chests filled with toys and gifts for the patients.

Danielle is helping the foundation to keep the treasure chest full for the brave teens fighting cancer. She has placed decorated donation boxes in various areas of Hillcrest. She is asking that each teen and staff member at Hillcrest to donate a gift for the children. Danielle has suggested donating gift cards, Games, Jewelry, accessories, and art projects.
