Hillcrest HS Drama Group Concludes Season with Peter Pan and Wendy: A Musical
Over 50 students participated as both cast and crew
The Hillcrest High School Drama Group concluded its 2014-15 season with a performance of Peter Pan and Wendy: A Musical. This year’s season included over 50 student participants as both cast and crew and a continued collaboration with the Hillcrest Art Society.
Regarding their final musical, Director Mr. Gregory Fitch wrote, “The stories of Peter Pan have developed and, like many mythos, have come to mean new things to new generations over the last hundred years, but what has not changed is the edge on which Peter lives. Peter dwells on the cusp of childhood and maturity which makes Wendy’s story in this production of Peter Pan and Wendy: A Musical particularly relevant to a high school cast. Like Wendy, many of the students I have worked with over the last four years are also preparing to move on to something new and exciting, but also perhaps daunting, so it is an honor to direct them in this musical production.”
The Hillcrest High School Drama Group will return for the 2015-16 season with a musical, student-directed one acts, and a stage play for competition.
