Hillcrest HS Football Players Choose Teachers to Wear Their Jerseys
Varsity players recognized teachers that have made a difference in their lives
In the spirit of school pride, Hillcrest Varsity Football players gave their jerseys to a teacher that has made a difference in their life. The special teachers wore their jerseys with pride to the Homecoming Pep Rally as well as the Varsity Football game. Senior Aaron Smith asked English teacher Mrs. Stephanie Carrero to wear his jersey. “I told him I would be honored to wear his jersey and touched that he choose me amongst so many wonderful teachers. His gesture really melted my heart,” stated Carrero. Science teacher Mrs. Jane Molek stated, “I was touched to be chosen to wear a jersey. It’s a rewarding feeling to get the feedback that you made a difference in a student’s life”.
