Hillcrest HS Girls' Track & Field Members are State Bound
Four athletes will be competing at EIU this weekend
Congratulations to the Hillcrest High School Girls’ Track and Field members as they prepare to compete at the IHSA Track and Field State competition, which will be held at Eastern Illinois University, May 21-23.
Desiree Wilson will compete in the 100 Dash and 4x200 Relay. Joining her in the 4x200 Relay will be Jessica Rogers, Rashidat Ishadimu and Breana Williams.
The Hillcrest Girls Track and Field Team placed 7th out of 17 teams at the IHSA Sectional at Kankakee High School. Medalists were: Dorcas Adekale in the Triple Jump; Tia Alexander in the 4x800; Jasmine Curry in the 4x800; Taisha Hannah in the 4x800, 400, and 4x400; Danielle Hussey in Pole Vault; Rashidat Ishadimu in the 200, 4x100, 4x200 & 4x400; Jessica Rogers in the 4x100 and 4x200; Breana Williams in the Discus, 4x100, and 4x200; Cameron Williams in the 4x800; and Desiree Wilson in the 100, 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400.
