Hillcrest HS Holds Half-Cap Ceremony
Ceremony congratulates sophomores for their hard work over the past two years
Hillcrest High School recently held its Annual Half-Cap Ceremony for sophomore students. The purpose of the event is to motivate and congratulate sophomores for their work and effort over the past two years. As the Hillcrest band played the graduation processional, the sophomore students walked into the ceremony. Then, Hillcrest Alumni and motivational speaker, Mr. Siddiqu Muhammad delivered a powerful, inspirational speech to the students. He spoke about doing great things in life and going beyond what is expected of them. Dr. Simms announced the Top 10 scholar recipients and presented each with an honorary certificate. Mr. Kahney called the names of the sophomore students and each were given a diploma and shook the hand of the administrators as they crossed the stage. The culmination of this memorable evening was the sophomores and their guests enjoying refreshments and mingling. Congratulations Hillcrest sophomores!
