Hillcrest HS Students Visit SSC
Students toured the campus and learned important information about South Suburban College

Recently, seniors from Hillcrest High School collaborated with the three District 228 schools (Bremen High School, Tinley Park High School and Oak Forest High School) to attend a “College Resource Day” field trip at South Suburban College. The eager students received a tour of the campus and heard useful presentations from the following departments: Allied Health, Engineering/Electronics, TV/Radio, and Art & Design.
Information was discussed pertaining to the process of transferring their credits from South Suburban to a university. The students also heard information relating to financial aid. The exciting events of the field trip concluded with students attending a mini college fair. “This field trip is a wonderful way for seniors that do not have concrete post-secondary plans to consider SSC and all that they have to offer,” said Mrs. Lopez, Hillcrest Counselor. “I thought SSC was a really nice school and I definitely plan on attending SSC in the fall. The engineering part of the program was my favorite!” said Karl Johnson, Hillcrest Senior.
SSC offers over 50 career and transfer programs, community and adult education, non-credit courses, business training programs, and much more.
