Hillcrest HS Take Your Child to Work Day
Childcare I students collaborated with staff members to create a fun-filled day
Hillcrest High School recently hosted the annual “Take Your Child to Work Day.” This special day gives an opportunity for staff to bond with their children while inspiring them to think about career choices. “It’s important for children to see us in a professional environment because success can be a positive influence, said Ms. Ashley Gerber, Hillcrest Family and Consumer Science Teacher.
The Hillcrest Childcare I students, Shelby Jones, Karima Jones, Deja Mosley, Faith Durden, Tatianna Lewis, Diamonique Devoe, Jaylynn Harrison, and Jacqueline Wallace, collaborated with staff members to create this fun-filled day with interactive activities involving crafts, fitness, science, and exploration. “It was an exciting, jam-packed day for all involved. The Hillcrest students worked hard to make sure that every child was inspired and involved,” stated Ms. Gerber.
A special thanks to teachers Ms. Amy Trench, Mr. Mirko Polyak, Mr. Paul Switzer, Ms. JoEllen Lee, and Ms. Michelle Youngberg who assisted in planning activities for the kids.
