Hillcrest HS Teacher Presents at Foreign Language Conference

Kristen Kaczmarek spoke about incorporating movement in the classroom

Hillcrest High School teacher Ms. Kristen Kaczmarek presented at the Fall Conference of the Illinois Council of Teaching Foreign Languages (ICTFL). Ms. Kaczmarek submitted an application to present last year and was chosen to present at this year’s conference. “My presentation was entitled, “I Like to Move It...Move It” - Incorporating Movement in the Foreign Language Classroom. I didn’t expect many people to attend, but after five minutes it was standing room only in my session! I had over 40 people attend the presentation. This was one of the most rewarding experiences! I had so many positive comments and teachers are still emailing asking for information. I highly recommend presenting at a state level conference because the sense of accomplishment that comes with it is indescribable. The conference was filled with many different and great presentations. It was an unforgettable experience,” stated Ms. Kaczmarek.

Hillcrest staff and students wish to thank Ms. Kaczmarek for the energy and devotion that she brings to our school.
