Hillcrest HS's Senior Honors Night

Kim Chi Dang and Karrina Ingram were named Class of 2015 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

More than 100 students and their families gathered at Hillcrest High School for Senior Honors Night. Family members, administration, and faculty attended the celebration to show support and acknowledge the culmination of a successful four-year career. Kim Chi Dang and Karrina Ingram were named the Class of 2015 Valedictorian and Salutatorian. “Throughout the past four years, both Kim Chi and Karrina have achieved immense success inside and outside the classroom and have served as excellent role models for their peers,” said Dr. Maurice Young, Hillcrest Assistant Principal. Both students have exemplary academic achievements. In addition to academic scholarships and awards for academic excellence, the ceremony included recognition for National Honor Society, PSAE Scholars, leadership awards, mentors, music, art, athletics, and individual subject area awards were recognized. “We are so proud of our students and it is at this time that we are able to honor and acknowledge their hard work, effort, dedication and commitment. A particular highlight for me was the announcement that our students in total have been awarded over $2 million is scholarships and financial aid and over 100 students were able to identify a school they had been accepted into for college. That’s something to celebrate,” stated Principal Renee Simms. Congratulations to these outstanding young people.
