Hillcrest Junior First D228 Educational Foundation Student Member

Recently, Hillcrest High School teacher Ms. Kara Bucci became the new Bremen High School District 228 Educational Foundation President. Also during the Foundation meeting, Hillcrest High School student Armoni Grant became the first, and currently the only, Student Board Member to serve on the Educational Foundation. Armoni will serve a one year term as an Educational Foundation Student Board Member.
Foundation Board Members serve as volunteers to help secure and provide funds to support and promote the educational programs and activities of Disstrict 228 students. To do this, the Foundation provides mini-grants of up to $1,000 for a variety of classroom and district-wide projects that enhance the curriculum and enlighten students. Projects that have ‘lived on’ include books, software, technology and equipment.
