Hillcrest HS Key Club Assists Kiwanis Club with Annual Peanut Day
Kiwanis Club focus is on serving children and the community
Hillcrest High School Key Club members spent a sunny afternoon assisting the Kiwanis Club of Tinley Park with their annual Peanut Day. Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character, and develop leadership. The Kiwanis’ Peanut Days is a large fund raiser with every penny going back to the community. The Kiwanis Club appreciated the extra help and said that the Hillcrest students were a pleasure to work with. “It was fun to get involved and collect for a great cause. It was fun talking to the motorists and laughing with them. Everyone was so nice and wanted to know why we are there and where we were from. I was happy to help,” said Danielle Hussey, Key Club member. Kiwanis Club is a global service organization with the focus on serving children and the community. Thank you Hillcrest Key Club members and club sponsor Ms. Amy Trench, for donating their time to such a great cause.
