Holiday House Walk to Feature Four, Festive Flossmoor Homes in support of The Cancer Support Center

Flossmoor, Ill.— The Cancer Support Center and Advocate South Suburban Hospital present the Holiday House Walk on Saturday, November 22, 2014. This event also includes a festive “Preview Party” on Friday night, a Saturday luncheon, and a Unique Boutique Gift Market at Idlewild Country Club, 19201 Dixie Hwy, Flossmoor, IL 60422.
Come tour four, elegant Flossmoor homes for holiday decorating ideas or just pure enjoyment while raising money to support local cancer survivors and their families.

“This year’s Holiday House Walk has been a true collaborative effort between the homeowners and volunteers,” said Traci Dominy, co-chair of this year’s event. “Each home has a unique spirit showcased by the individual decorations, heirlooms, and family traditions featured in each of the homes.”

“Since The Center was founded to serve local residents affected by cancer, it is fitting we showcase neighboring residences to raise awareness for services in Homewood and Mokena offered to anyone, free of charge,” said Bridget Van Eekeren, co-chair of this year’s event. “Each of these families has a special reason for being part of this Holiday House Walk. Some have family members and friends affected by cancer; some, themselves, are survivors. Each is moved by the mission of The Cancer Support Center to provide FREE comprehensive resources that help people improve their quality of life during the cancer experience.”

House Walk tickets are $25 per person and provide admittance to all four homes. Luncheon tickets can be added for an additional $25 per person, and must be pre-purchased. Tickets for the Preview Party on Friday night, November 21, are $60 per person, and include: an exclusive preview of the House Walk homes on Friday night, heavy hors d’oeuvres and open bar. Reservations can be made in advance at both The Cancer Support Center offices, 2028 Elm Rd. in Homewood, or 19657 S. LaGrange Rd. in Mokena. House Walk tickets will also be available for purchase at Idlewild Country Club beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday, November 22. Tickets will not be mailed in advance. Guests will pick up their tickets at Idlewild Country Club on day of event.

The Cancer Support Center is here so that no one travels a journey through cancer alone. The Center strives to fulfill our mission of providing strength, guidance, and support to anyone living with a cancer diagnosis, as well as to their loved ones. The Center does this as a community-based, volunteer-driven, donor-supported organization.
