The deadline for applications to enter the Homewood 4th of July parade is fast approaching.

HOMEWOOD, IL -- The deadline to apply for an application to have a float in the Village of Homewood Fourth of July parade is fast approaching, as those interested will need to have it submitted by June 20 to take part in the Independence Day tradition that involves a variety of fun.

The parade will step-off at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4.

Stilt walkers, jugglers, bands and horses are among the acts that have already entered the parade. Check back here as the event approaches for a parade lineup.
The Route
The route will follow a southward direction on Dixie Highway to Ridge Road and then go east to the Izaak Walton Preserve.
Post-Parade
The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District and Homewood Fire Department will host games and entertainment at a Family Fun Fest at the preserve.
