Homewood Election Recap: Greater Homewood Sweeps

Most races in the village of Homewood went uncontested.

HOMEWOOD, IL - Most village races in Homewood were uncontested, and the one that was produced a sweep by the Greater Homewood party.

Ann Colton, Barbara Dawkins and Lawrence Burnson were voted in a as village trustees ahead of Jennifer “Jen” Sjoblom, an independent candidate.

According to unofficial tallies from the Cook County Clerk’s Office, Colton received 2,361 votes while Dawkins had 2,142 and Burnson 2,097. Sjoblom had 1,120.

Richard A. Hofeld was uncontested for village president, bringing in 2,714 votes. Marilyn Thomas was uncontested for clerk, receiving 2,691 votes.
