HOMEWOOD, IL -The village of Homewood has posted for an immediate opening for part-time firefighters. The following was included in a village newsletter:
The Village of Homewood is seeking individuals to become Part-Time Paramedic/ Firefighters to join its team of full-time sworn Homewood Paramedic/Firefighters.

- Homewood ambulances carry the most up-to-date equipment including two AutoPulse Systems, offering hands-free CPR to patients
- More than three local colleges offer Fire Science and EMS/Paramedic Programs
- Homewood's hourly part-time rate is more than $20.00 per hour
Qualifications
- U.S. citizen
- Over 21 years of age and under 35 years of age
- Possess a High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
- Valid driver's license
- State of Illinois Paramedic license
- State of Illinois Basic Firefighter certification
