Homewood, Flossmoor Partner In 2026 Community Cleanup Day
The inaugural joint community clean-up day is set for Saturday, April 4.
HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR, IL — The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District, the Village of Flossmoor, and the Village of Homewood are partnering to host Community Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 4, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at local parks and village locations throughout both communities.
This community-wide event invites residents to come together to help spruce up parks and public spaces in preparation for summer fun. The Park District and Village staff will organize and plan the work to be done, while volunteers provide the helping hands needed to make a difference.
Participants are invited to kick off the morning with a complimentary breakfast at Wiley’s Grill, 800 Kedzie Ave., Flossmoor, beginning at 8 a.m. From there, volunteers will head out with friends and neighbors to assist with clean-up efforts across Homewood and Flossmoor.

Community Cleanup Day is a great opportunity for kids, scout groups, churches, and other service organizations to give back while working side by side with fellow residents. Individuals and groups of all sizes are encouraged to participate and help keep the villages’ shared spaces clean, welcoming, and vibrant for everyone.
