Veterans and their families are invited to attend the first Veterans Benefit Fair, set for Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Hwy. Representatives will be available to answer questions and provide assistance for veterans regarding their benefits including issues such as medical needs, education, employment support, and outreach efforts to veterans and their families. Refreshments will be provided.
The following organizations will be on hand: Chicago Heights Vet Center, Chicago Heights Vet Clinic, Governors State University,Homewood Veterans Committee, Illinois Department of Employment Security, Military Kids, Pets For Vets Chicagoland, Prairie State College, Saint Xavier University, VFW, Wounded Warrior Project.
