Broken Window

Someone broke the rear window of a Hazel Crest man’s vehicle sometime between 2 and 2:30 a.m. on the 18300 block of Cowing Court, according to police.

Domestic Disturbance

Police said Chaniquiia Joubert, 23, of the 900 block of 193rd Street in Glenwood, was charged with domestic battery, battery and resisting an officer, while Zakiya Wright, 25, of the first block of Leims Road in Park Forest was charged with one count of criminal damage to property after they got into an argument at 3 p.m. on the 17900 block of Cherrywood Lane. According to the police report, Joubert said Wright was inside her vehicle, and began punching and kicking the interior of the vehicle during a verbal altercation. Wright said Joubert struck her in the face while she was trying to remove her from the vehicle, according to reports. Both were arrested, and while at the police station, reports said Joubert threw a glass of water onto one of the officers.

Employee Theft

Michele Thomas, 38, of the 200 block of Plymouth Drive in Chicago Heights, was charged with three counts of theft after police said she made three fraudulent returns on her register at Kmart and stole the money.

Possession of Marijuana

Arianna Cooke, 20, of the 1600 block of Butterfield Road in Flossmoor, was charged with possession of marijuana. Police said they pulled over the car she was riding in after a report of suspicious activity at 1:20 a.m. at the intersection of 187th and Dixie.

Stolen Make-up, Clothing, Snacks 

Police said Daisy Zavala, 20, of the 2100 block of 217th Place in Sauk Village, and Amanda Chavez, 19, of the 1900 block of Circle Court, were charged with retail theft after stealing make-up, clothing and snacks from Kmart at 11 p.m. A juvenile also was arrested, according to reports. Police said the juvenile was issued a juvenile report and a municipal ordinance violation.

Credit Card Fraud

Someone spent more than $350 on a Homewood woman’s lost bank card sometime between 3:30 p.m. March 10 and 11 p.m. March, 11, according to police.
