Homewood Police Host Holiday Card Design Contest For Students

The deadline for K-12th graders to submit their entry is Nov. 15. Winners will get a $100 gift card and their drawing featured on the card.

HOMEWOOD, IL — The deadline is approaching to submit a holiday card design that could be featured on the Homewood Police Department holiday card.

All Homewood students in kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to submit an original design by Monday, Nov. 15 to be considered for the contest. Each student is only allowed one entry.

The winning design will be announced at the Homewood Holiday Lights Festival on Dec. 3 and printed on the official holiday card which goes out to residents.

In addition to the feature spot on the holiday card, the winner will get a $100 gift card and their own box of holiday cards with their design on it to give to family and friends.

The second and third place winners will get a $75 gift card and a $50 gift card, respectively. Officials did not immediately respond to questions on what business the gift card will be for.

Each entry must include the student's name, age and school along with their parent or guardian's name and phone number.
